She continued her academic efforts at Columbia University, earning a Master of Science in journalism in 1980. As a commitment to her field, she has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Phillips Exeter Academy Women’s Leadership Circle and the Theater for the New City. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Edelman has contributed to the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and the Daniel J. Edelman Holdings Inc.

Well-regarded for her contributions to her specialty, Ms. Edelman has been recognized as a Marquis Who’s Who Top Professional and included in the Marquis Who’s Who in the World publication. Reflecting on a long career, she attributes much of her success to the love and mentorship of her family, especially her parents, Dan and Ruth Edelman, who taught her the value of education, self-reliance and community service.
